An armed terrorist group on Wednesday perpetrated a heinous massacre, slaughtering 14 civilians including women and children in Khattab village in northwestern countryside of Hama province.
A source at Hama Police Command told SANA that an armed terrorist group sneaked Wednesday at dawn into Khattab village and perpetrated a terrifying massacre. The terrorists slaughtered fourteen innocent people and mutilated their bodies, the source added.
“Bodies of seven women and a girl were admitted to Hama National Hospital with clear signs of torture on them,” Head of the General Commission of Hama National Hospital Dr. Salim Khallouf said, adding that some of the bodies were decapitated with stabbing marks found in several parts of their bodies.
Dr. Khallouf clarified that two injured people were also transferred and they are getting the suitable treatment.
Meanwhile, Minister of Justice Najm Hamad al-Ahmad issued a decision forming a special four-judge judicial committee to investigate the terrorist crime.
The committee, according to the decision no. 2617, is entitled access to whatever information and documents from whatever party and to listen to witnesses, issue the necessary warrants and order arrest of the perpetrators whoever they are and bring them to justice.
Separately, a citizen got injured when terrorists fired two rocket shells on al-Abbasa neighborhood in Homs city yesterday evening.
A source in the province said that the two shells landed near al-Iman School in al-Abbasa neighborhood, injuring a citizen and causing material damage to residents’ properties.
In Sweida, an armed terrorist group attacked a number of farmers while they were reaping the wheat in Lebbeen village in the western countryside of the province.
A source at the Police Command told SANA that a citizens was killed by an armed terrorist group’s bullets in an attempt to intimidate farmers and prevent them from reaping their seasons.
Another citizen was reported dead and three other were wounded in an explosive device blast on Serghaya-Kfeir Yabous road in Damascus Countryside.
A Police Command source told SANA reporter that terrorists detonated an explosive device they had earlier planted on the road leading to Serghaya town while a car was passing, killing a citizen and injuring three others who were in the car.
